Terms of Service

RINSlab is a research tool that helps product teams classify product features against the Kano framework. You create features, share short public poll links with users, and view aggregated classifications and insights in a workspace.

The service is intended for business and professional use.

The service evolves. We may add, change, or remove functionality over time. We try not to break things you rely on; material changes that reduce paid functionality will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account.
• You sign in with a third-party identity provider (Google) or with a magic-link email. We rely on the authentication provided by that provider; if your provider account is compromised, the RINSlab account is too.
• You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for everything that happens under your account, including actions by people you invite to your workspaces.
• One human, one account. Don't share credentials.

A workspace is a container for your features, responses, members, branding, and (if applicable) subscription. You can create or join multiple workspaces.

Each workspace has three day-to-day roles — admin, editor, viewer — plus one superadmin who owns billing. Admins can invite and remove members, change roles, edit features, and delete the workspace. The superadmin is additionally the person whose subscription covers the workspace.

You agree that anyone you invite as an admin or editor can create, edit, and delete content in the workspace; an admin can delete the entire workspace and its data. Choose your roles carefully.

You may use RINSlab for any lawful research purpose. You may not, and may not allow anyone using your account or workspaces to:

• Use the service to violate any applicable law or third-party right;
• Collect responses about illegal goods or services, or content depicting minors in a sexual context;
• Send poll links to anyone who has not opted in to receiving them, or otherwise spam respondents;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the rate limits or access controls of the service;
• Use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate a person;
• Upload malware, illegal content, or anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property;
• Resell the service or use it to build a competing product without our written permission.

We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that, in our reasonable judgement, are doing any of the above.

Paid subscriptions cover unlimited workspaces created under a single superadmin account. Pricing is shown on /pricing and is the price you accept when you complete checkout.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limitedor its regional affiliates, which act as our payment processor and, under Stripe Managed Payments, as the merchant of record. Stripe collects and remits applicable VAT and sales tax on our behalf. You agree to Stripe's own terms and privacy notice when you check out.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel at any time from /account → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable consumer-protection law.

If a payment fails, we may pause access to billing-gated features until the issue is resolved. Workspaces stay intact; resubscribing flips access back on.

You own the content you create in RINSlab— the feature names, descriptions, notes, workspace branding, and the responses your poll respondents submit. We don't claim ownership of any of it.

You grant us a limited licence to host, store, transmit, process, and display your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you, and to your workspace members and (for public poll pages) to your poll respondents.

You're responsible for the content you put into the service. That includes ensuring you have the rights to any logos or imagery you upload, that your feature descriptions don't infringe third-party rights, and that you have a lawful basis under applicable privacy law for collecting responses from the people you share poll links with.

The RINSlab brand, the website, the software, and everything we author (including these Terms, our documentation, and our marketing copy) belong to Lukáš Podhola, IČ: 72929863, Palackého tř. 77, Chrudim 53701 and our licensors. You don't get any rights to those by using the service except the right to use the service itself as set out in these Terms.

You may use the RINSlabname to refer to the service factually (e.g. “we use RINSlab”) but not in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using RINSlab you accept that policy.

We work hard to keep RINSlabavailable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure service. The service depends on third-party infrastructure (hosting, database, payments, email) that can fail or change.

The service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We make no warranty that the service will meet your particular requirements or that any insights produced will be commercially correct or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lukáš Podhola, IČ: 72929863, Palackého tř. 77, Chrudim 53701 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid to us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim, or one hundred euros (€100), whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for statutory consumer rights.

You can stop using RINSlab any time. You can close your account permanently from /account → Close account, which deletes your account and, subject to the data-handling rules in our Privacy Policy, the workspaces where you were the sole admin.

We delete account and application data within 30 days after account closure. Information we are legally required to retain, such as billing and tax records, may be retained for longer periods.

We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your account has been inactive for an extended period, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the service or to other users. Where practical, we will notify you first and give you a chance to cure the breach.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply after your account ends.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified to you by email or via the service before they take effect. Continued use of RINSlab after the change takes effect counts as acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the Czech Republic have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the service, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where required by applicable consumer law.
